MOV (Museum of Vancouver)

Story telling. Francesca has always enjoyed telling stories through design. Her work as an exhibit designer afforded her the privilege telling stories from history.

Francesca worked with the collectors and experts on historical fashion, Ivan Sayers and Claus Jahnke, to design La Belle Epoque - Women’s Fashions 1890-1914 at MOV. Francesca sought out to personalize the garments and show them in settings both illustrative of the time period as well as familiar to present-day viewers. Stylized scenery framed the gorgeous dresses and gave them life: a walk in the park, an evening at the ball and the big wedding day.
