Casual Town Home
Point Grey, Vancouver
Textures, layers & colours. The client’s desire to inject personality into the spaces of their large but dated duplex led to the concept of ‘curated casual’ for this project.
Having worked with the client already on their previous home for Love it or List it Vancouver, we had a good knowledge of the client’s lifestyle and preferences. We worked with the client closely to create a home comprised of pieces that tell their story and will evolve with the family over time. Personal collections and client photographs gave much of the direction for the design of millwork pieces that would act as casually sophisticated backdrops for their display.
As the home lacked architectural interest, features such as the coffered ceiling in the family room and wall panelling in the primary bedroom were added for depth and to make the spaces feel more welcoming.
